The School of Foreign Languages Season 2 – 2016 English Speaking Contest for Students
Dr. Le Hong Thang, Dean of SFL, gave a speech at the opening ceremony of “English speaking Contest for Students at the School of Foreign Languages Season 2 – 2016”, emphasizing that English is currently a global language; and, it plays an important role in the trend of international integration and is a key to success. SFL has focused on English language training programs, as well as teaching English for students with a pedagogy major, to help students become more aware of the importance of English at school and later at work. The Schoolalso wants to help students improve their communicationand presentation skillsin English. Subsequently, SFL planned and organized “English Speaking Contest for Students at the School of Foreign Languages, Season 2 – 2016”.
Dr. Le Hong Thang, Dean of SFL, gave a speech at the opening ceremony of “English speaking Contest for Students at the School of Foreign Languages Season 2 – 2016”.This year’s competition attracted a large amount of studentparticipation fromall courses specializing in English. A total of 10 teams representing all majors and courses competed in the contest. All 10 teams had gone through two preliminary rounds before entering the Final Round.
The Judges of “English speaking Contest for Students at the School of Foreign Languages Season 2 – 2016”.
After 3 hours of serious and vibrant competition, the judges appreciated and singled out five teams for their ability to present in English, using correct English pronunciation,by choosing “hot topics” that have drawn nationwide attention. Here are the teams that were awarded by the judges: consolation prize: English Language A Course 36 and English Education B Course 37; Second Prize: English EducationB Course 36 and English Language B Course 36; First prize: English Education C Course 37.
