SFL-TNU enhances the prevention of the Corona virus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak

In response to complex developments of the novel Corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak, on January 31, SFL-TNU hosted an urgent meeting about the actions needed. SFL-TNU proposed establishing a Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control to publish official documents related to the issues. On February 4, SFL-TNU representatives joined the meeting for the disease prevention of TNU hosted by Associate Professor Tran Thanh Van, Vice President of TNU.

On February 4, SFL-TNU welcomed the TNU Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control, led by the Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Van, Vice President of TNU.

With the highest priority of preventing the spread of the disease, SFL-TNU officially extended school closure for 10 more days: from February 1 until February 9. Also, it is stressed that non-essential gatherings and meetings should be limited. Good hygiene practices are strongly encouraged in the workplace.

SFL-TNU established a Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control to collaborate with TNU steering committee to implement needed actions in a timely manner. Additionally, the school provided a hotline (0912.258.159) for additional information about the Corona virus disease.

SFL-TNU also cleaned and disinfected all school areas (classrooms, dorm and halls). The school staff have raised awareness about the disease by maintaining good personal hygiene (washing hands with soap, e.g) and self-isolate when suspected with the disease symptoms.

The Department of Information, Student Service and Student Union have collaborated together to help inform students and staff about how to prevent the Corona virus via posters, emails and other channels.
