School of Foreign Languages – Thai Nguyen University participates in Science and Technology Expo
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Thai Nguyen University as issued in the Government’s Decree on the Founding of Thai Nguyen University (04/04/1994 – 04/04/2019) and receipt of the First Class Labor Order, the Science and Technology Expo was organized in three days, from April 1st to April 3rd, at TNU Hall, to display research products and achievements of TNU’s members.
Prof. Dr. Phung Xuan Nha – Member of the Communist Party Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training spoke at the expo and assigned duties for TNU in its strategy of development
Taking part in the expo, SFL – TNU exhibited research products and achievements, including reference books, course books, and magazines in foreign languages produced by SFL students. With the superior quality, diverse contents and necessity, the book display section of SFL drew readers’ attention and was highly valued by educators, scientists, educational managers, staff, students, and guests at the expo.

In the expo, the experiences in foreign language teaching and learning via the model of E-Learning were also shared. As a high tech educational solution, E-Learning can be applied in most organizations which wish to foster the automation in their training. The implementation of E-Learning is believed to be more beneficial than conventional education in some ways. For example, learner autonomy is promoted thanks to notifications from the systems, online tests, placement tests or learner – customized learning procedure. Particularly, SFL has attracted a number of learners who would like to attend preparation classes and take foreign language exams to meet the exit requirements of learning outcomes for tertiary students.
