Program Learning Outcomes of The English Education Major

The English education programme is to supply students with knowledge, skills, autonomy and responsibility to meet the needs of English teachers of the labour market in the current global integration, serving effectively for the socio-economic development of the country and the country’s northern midland and mountainous area.

Bachelors of English education have basic knowledge of socio-politics and laws which would help them much in teaching and education activities. They would have such knowledge and ability as: real-life knowledge, fundamental and specialized knowledge of pedagogy, ability of using English and second language as required in Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework, ability of information technology to apply into teaching and education activities, ability of working independently and in a team/ group, skills of presentation, communication and critical thinking, skills of organizing extra-curricular activities, skills of pedagogical training, educating and managing learners, skill of start-up in teaching English, abilities of self-study, self-research, or self-update knowledge to develop the profession. They al so have professional quality to work as a teacher of English, teaching in all levels.
