Symposium “Solutions to improve the quality of teaching Social Sciences in online training at Thai Nguyen University – School of Foreign Languages (TNU-SFL)”
In the morning December 19th, 2021, at TNU-SFL, there is a symposium on “Solutions to improve the quality of teaching Social Science subjects in online training TNU-SFL”. The symposium is organized by the Faculty of Basic Sciences, SFL The symposium aims to exchange, connect and share teaching experiences as well as scientific research experiences in social science subjects of lecturers of TNU-SFL and colleges and universities in Thai Nguyen province.
From Thai Nguyen University, the symposium is honored to welcome the presence of Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang – President of Thai Nguyen University and Director and Deputy Director of the Training Department; Department of Science Technology and Foreign Affairs, Thai Nguyen University. From TNU-SFL, there are the presence of Dr. Le Hong Thang, Party Secretary – Rector; Dr. Luu Quang Sang, Deputy Party Secretary – Vice Rector; The symposium attracts more than 60 scientists, speakers, lecturers and students of TNU-SFL; scientists from colleges and universities: University of Economics and Business Administration, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen College of Economics in the form of face-to-face and online via zoom platform.
The symposium organizers select 54 reports; 08 face-to-face and online presentations on 04 fields of research and teaching majors: Political theory, psychology; language; Informatics demonstrates the elaboration and enthusiasm for the quality of online teaching and learning by frank comments, analyzing limitations and shortcomings and proposing effective solutions to improve the quality of online teaching and learning of Social Science subjects at the TNU-SFL in particular, Colleges and Universities in general in the current context.
The symposium receives valuable comments and sharing from Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang – President of Thai Nguyen University on the importance of Social Sciences, methodological thinking and the responsibility of lecturers to innovate teaching methods to create excitement for learners in implementing online teaching. Give speech at the symposium, Dr. Le Hong Thang raises the importance, purpose and significance of the symposium.
The participants of the symposium are focused, demanded, actively exchange and comment on the presentations of the speakers during the participation in the symposium. The speakers and scientists share their experiences, teaching methods, experiences in exploiting software application platforms in online teaching and learning, while encouraging lecturers inside and outside the university to actively research science and innovate teaching methods in the context of online training in order to contribute to improving the quality of training at universities today.
