Fulbright English Teaching Assistant’s Practical Teaching Program for the academic year 2022-2023
In order to create opportunities for students of K42 and K43 of English Language Education Major to exchange and learn to improve their language and pedagogical skills with native English language teaching assistants (ELTA); as well as strengthen the cooperation relationship between the Department of Culture and Information, the USA Embassy and the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program in Vietnam and the School of Foreign Languages (SFL-TNU) in teaching English; SFL in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Information, the USA Embassy and the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program in Vietnam to organize the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program in the academic year 2022-2023
From the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program in Vietnam, there were the presence of Ms. Vu Thi Diu – Program Assistant, Dr. Tran Huong Quynh – Faculty of English, Hanoi National University of Education and 14 Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ELTA) for the academic year 2022-2023. From SFL – TNU, there were the presence of Dr. Dang Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai – Head of Science Management and Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Loan – Dean of the English Department and lecturers of the Faculty of English.
After the welcome and initial sharing about SFL-TNU as well as the Fulbright Program, the ELTA together with the instructors gave practical lectures in 03 smart classrooms 501, 502 and 503 in lecture hall B of school. With careful preparation in lectures, innovation in teaching methods, the ELTA attracted very active interaction of students of English language education major. The lessons left a very good impression on the lecturers and the students who attended the practical program.
It is hoped that in the coming time, SFL-TNU will continue to accompany the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program in Vietnam to organize many useful and practical teaching activities for the SFL English education major.
