My Greatest Happiness is Teaching
The young professor Mai Thi Ngoc Anh is a remarkable person at Thai Nguyen University. She is a passionate teacher and researcher.
In 2013, after completing her Ph.D. in Chinese linguistics at the University of South China (Guangzhou, China), Professor Mai Thi Ngoc Anh made her decision to teach at SFL-TNU. She commented ‘[The]Teaching job is a special profession! I always try to understand my missions as an educator. I try to not only teach my knowledge for students but also inspire them to search for knowledge by themselves’.
With her distinguished contribution, she achieved tremendous success. She is currently the Deputy Head of the Department of Chinese at SFL-TNU. Additionally, she is one of the youngest educators teaching Chinese courses at the masters level at the school.
Professor Mai Thi Ngoc Anh was the advisor for one study at TNU, and three at SFL-TN. She has published one book and dozens of research studies both internationally and domestically. These achievements are the result of years of hard work. ‘Once we decide to do something, we need to be life-long learners. Teachers need to apply appropriate methods to effectively encourage and teach their students’. She added.
In her lecture, Professor Ngoc Anh not only teaches from textbooks, she also shares with her students historical and cultural knowledge. Maybe that is why her image remains positive in generations of students. Besides the above accomplishments, she has been awarded certificates as being outstanding employees of TNU. She is also an excellent Communist Party member.
Professor Mai Thi Ngoc Anh reaffirms ‘Although this career is challenging, we cannot go back. I believe that a bright future awaiting. If I could choose again, I would definitely choose to be a teacher!
