2019 New Year Celebration of SFL Students – Commendation for “Outstanding Youths Awarded with Ho Chi Minh Prize” and “Best Five – Merit Students”.

On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnamese Students and Students’ Association ( 09 / 01 / 1950 – 09 / 01 / 2019 ), Standing Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Secretariat of SFL Student’s Association co-operated the programme called New Year Celebration of SFL Students – A Commendation for “Outstanding Students Awarded with Ho Chi Minh Prize” and “Five – Merit Students” in Hall A of SFL on January 18th 2019.

 Dr. Le Hong Thang – Communist Party Committee Secretary – Dean of SFL; Dr. Nguyen Trong Du – Associate Dean of SFL; Dr. Nong Hong Hanh – Vice President of SFL Trade Union ; Pham Viet Ngoc – Youth Union Secretary; Dang Trung Kien – Youth Union Deputy Secretary – Chairman of Students’ Association; Korean expert – Yang Eun Sik; Heads of Office, Departments, Students’ Association and student cohorts represented for School of Foreign Languages.

On the opening speech, Dang Trung Kien – Youth Union Deputy Secretary – Chairman of Students’ Association emphasized the intention and meaning of either sharing with or helping disadvantaged students to have a happier
Lunar New Year. This is also a material and mental motivation for students to promote learning inspiration and hardship alleviation in the future.

In the celebration, Dr. Le Hong Thang, Dean of SFL – Thai Nguyen University congratulated all SFL students on actively responding to the movement of “Best Five – Merit Students” as well as praised students’ efforts which went into the study, practice, and social activities. Furthermore, he recognized students’ indefatigable determination and striving throughout practical performances which per se contributed to the affirmation of the importance of knowledge, thereby promoting the educational philosophy of SFL.
The magnificent New Year welcoming performances in combination with the commendation for “Best Five – Merit Students” created a joyful and exciting ambiance. By the event, opportunities for disadvantaged students would be encouraged in terms of frequency, time and efficiency in either the community or throughout SFL. Also, this generated high motivation in students’ educational attempt.
In subsequence, Ms. Pham Thu Trang – Vice Chairman of SFL Students’ Association praised five phenomenal students achieving “Best Five – Merit Students” appellation. Moreover, 3 three-million-worth scholarships were given to three students with best academic performances, 29 titles of Ho Chi Minh Following Student were awarded, and 20 presents of VND 200.000 each were allocated to disadvantaged students.
The celebration committed many wonderful memories. The presence of those who awarded at the night was shining examples and vivid images of SFL students. Moreover, along with education, sharing and supports from the teacher but also the social organization in either dedication and responsibility are available to the disadvantaged. This is considered as the most practical presents and encouragement to overcome disadvantages and prepare for the future career.
